Jomsom Muktinath trekking, with the altitude of 2743m(8999ft) and 3710m respectively lies in Mustang district of Nepal in between Annapurna (8091m, 26545ft) and Dhaulagiri (8167m, 24786ft). The beautiful river, Kali Gandaki entertains our moments during travel. Gurung and Thakali families are common proprietor here. Magars and Gurungs inhabitants will be our best companion till Poon Hill. Tatopani, several beautiful villages of Tukuche, Ghasa, Marpha and Jomsom are our other paramount’s till we reach the destination. Jomsom Muktinath comprises several temples that highlight both Hindus and Buddhist religious culture and custom.  Muktinath temple is living legendary example to both religious histories. Through this villages, we wander over cultural aspects of natives, lots of apple garden including a beautiful buddish monastery, comfort lodges, good foods. Local people always express their delight to serve and help with warm hospitality. We can also have a good opportunity to test organic fresh apple as well apple pie, apple cider. Jomsom Muktinath is also referred as apple kingdom. Every individual or group visited this region have appraised local Thakali Khana taste and ingredients.

Short Itinerary

Day 1: Land at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

Day 2: Make to Pokhara (910 m) by tourist bus, 6 hrs

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1,010m),1 hour and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,570m), 4 hrs

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) time: 7 hrs

Day 5: Climb up to Poon Hill (3,210m/10529ft) and onto Tadapani (1200m) time: 7 hrs

Day 6: Trek to Ghasa (2120m) Duration: 7 hrs

Day 7: Trek to Tukuche (2560m) Duration: 5 hrs

Day 8: Trek to Kagbeni (2800m) Duration: 5 hrs

Day 9: Trek to Muktinath (3800m) Duration: 4 hrs

Day 10: Trek to Jomsom (2600m)

Day 11: Morning flight to Pokhara, Pokhara to Kathmandu

Day 1: Land at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

We will receive you and escort to the hotel. Along the way, a brief introduction intake about the plans shall commence.

Day 2: Make to Pokhara (910 m) by tourist bus, 6 hrs

Our representative will pick you at 6:30 am and guide to the bus station. After an hour, we will head for Pokhara. Our ride compiles a beautiful scenario. At Pokhara, we will accommodate our leisure through boating and the reflections of Mt. Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Range on the Fewa Lake.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1,010m),1 hour and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,570m), 4 hrs

We will drive to the Nayapul from Pokhara, about an hour. A short 15-minute walk all the way to the banks of Modi Khola takes us to Birethanti(1015m) village that has dense settlements and thereby reaching towards the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. Our hike mounts to the valley of Hille(1495m) and to the Tikedhunga(1570m).

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) time: 7 hrs

Crossing over the suspension bridge near the camp at Tikhe Dhunga, we will ascend a steep stone staircase about 3300steps to the large Magar village of Ulleri (2080m).Then, we will move forward to Nangethanti for lunch. Thanti literally means “Rest”. From the Nangethanti, we will move towards to Ghorepani at 2850m. Ghorepani is surrounded by majestic Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchul (6441m) and more of such significance.

Day 5: Climb up to Poon Hill (3,210m/10529ft) and onto Tadapani (1200m) time: 7 hrs

We will wake up early in the morning and make our way to Poon hill (3210m) for sunrise view and panoramic view of the Himalaya that includes Dhaulagiri, Annapurna south, Fishtails and others. After wrapping up Poon hill visit we will take down to Ghorepani and proceed to Tatopani.

Day 6: Trek to Ghasa (2120m) Duration: 7 hrs

The trek starts up the Kali Gandaki valley that has the deepest gorge in the world. Our walk enjoys the Kali Gandaki riverside and steadily be sliding into sub-tropical vegetation. We will encounter the high Bhalu Khola suspension bridge before Dana (1450m).Rupse Chhahara( beautiful waterfall) from Dana is a breathtaking waterfall. After having a pleasant sight of the waterfall, we will move towards to Ghasa. Ghasa is an ethnic Thakali village with Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 7: Trek to Tukuche (2560m) Duration: 5 hrs

Our trail follows the Kaligandaki River which passes through a narrow gorge, before reaching to the Thakali traditional village. On this day, we will be crossing the gorge, rivers several times through suspension bridges. Do not forget to have a snap of beautiful sceneries. A couple of villages: Lete, Kalopani, and Kokhethati appear on a journey. Over the west side of the top hills beside us, we will be seeing Dhaulagiri Mountain.

Day 8: Trek to Kagbeni (2800m) Duration: 5 hrs

Our first sights will be Khobang village that has constricted alleyways and tunnels linking houses. We will have short round to the Kanti Gompa (a Buddhist temple).  Marpha village is storage for apple, our next destination. As we march through we will see a wine brandy distillery and orange orchard street.  Finally, after our 5 hours trek, we will be at our destination, Jomsom.

Day 9: Trek to Muktinath (3800m) Duration: 4 hrs

On this very day, we will mount 1000m to Muktinath. As mentioned in the introduction section, this region is a well-known pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhist.  In between, we will have blaze with Khingar(3400m) and Jharkot(3500m), an impressive fortress-like a village. Muktinath first initiation, Ranipauwa is our night stay. We will have the time to explore the eternal flame coming from natural gas which is considered sacred. We are accepted to have a cold water bath and let our heart and mind delicate with spirituality.

Day 10: Trek to Jomsom (2600m)

Our march for about 5 hours leads us to Jomsom(2600m). At Jomsom we have monasteries, semi-desert landscape surrounds by beautiful mountains. Jomsom is a trendy village of Gurung people, famous for its lush landscape and friendly people. We will have a warm greeting from Gurung people.

Day 11: Morning flight to Pokhara, Pokhara to Kathmandu

We are scheduled to catch a morning flight and the flight will be about 20 minutes. Then, we will take a beautiful drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu with beautiful gorges, river, and terrace on our side.

Day 12: Farewell

We are scheduled for about 3 hours early before the flight. We will take you to the airport and our session will end here.
