Mera peak is one of the most beautiful, famous and highest peaks in the Everest region. Mera Peak is in the east of Nepal, within the Everest and Makalu range. This Peak has a real opportunity to all those adventure and adrenaline lovers. The walk through the virgin forest of the Hinku Valley is incredibly beautiful and provides for one of the best views of Mera Peak. The top of Mera peak at 6461metres has the most incredible views of the world’s 8000 meter Mountains – to include Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8586m, 28169ft), Makalu (8485m, 27838ft), Lhotse (8516m, 27940ft), Cho-Oyu (8188m, 26864ft). The panoramic view on offer is a truly unforgettable experience. We will also encounter Sherpa people; get to know their tradition, culture, and festivals like Lhosar and Dumji along the way. You will be in the good physique before and after a climb. We have well trained, experienced and mature attendant to assist you all the way to the summit.

Short Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Day 2: Grounding for trek/climb and Kathmandu valley tour.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2804m) and march to Chutok (2800m) length: 3 hrs.

Day 4: Hike to Zatrabok (4600m) via Zatrawala Pass (4704m) length: 6 hrs.

Day 5: Trek to Kothe (3600m) length: 5 hrs.

Day 6: Trek to Tangnang (4356m) Duration: 5 hrs.

Day 7: Acclimatization.

Day 8: Trek to Khare (5045m) length: 4 hrs.

Day 9: Acclimatization at Khare.

Day 10: Trek to Mera La (5415m) and Base Camp (5300m) Duration: 5 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to High Camp (5800m) Duration: 5 hrs.

Day 12: Mera High camp to Mera Peak Summit (6654m), come back and trek to Khare (4900m) length: 10 hrs.

Day 13: Reserve day for Contingency.

Day 14: Trek to Khothey (3600m) Duration.

Day 15: Trek to Zatrabok.

Day 16: Trek to Chutenga.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla.

Day 18: Take off back to Kathmandu.

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Our team will welcome you on your arrival. We are obliged to escort you to the hotel and on the way we are scheduled about a short description of the package.

Day 2: Grounding for trek/climb and Kathmandu valley tour.

Visit Kathmandu valley includes World Heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2804m) and march to Chutok (2800m) length: 3 hrs.

We will head to the airport early morning to take a flight to Lukla. We will have distance view of greenery hills and mountains during flight. We then walk towards Chutok La pass (2945) with the help of our team guide.

Day 4: Hike to Zatrabok (4600m) via Zatrawala Pass (4704m) length: 6 hrs.

Our schedule this day will follow hike to Zatrawala Pass (4610m) continuing to Zatrabok (4704m) with a pleasing glimpse of Numbur Himal, Kongdi RI, Karyolang peak and much others.

Day 5: Trek to Kothe (3600m) length: 5 hrs.

We start our trek in the direction of Kothe. We will take vertical drop path through the juniper and rhododendron forest.

Day 6: Trek to Tangnang (4356m) Duration: 5 hrs.

After lunch, we will take our course to the Tangnang (4356m), (sabal, Tsho-Lake) infiltrating the Hinku valley. The course gradually mounts and pleasing view of Kusum  Kanguru will be encountered.

Day 7: Acclimatization.

We are set for acclimatization on our 7th day of the journey, at Tangnang. At the same day, we will stroll around the valley and discover the local culture and have a romantic view of stunning peaks and glaciers.

Day 8: Trek to Khare (5045m) length: 4 hrs.

We mount alongside the moraine of the glacier which will give us an interesting view of Mera Peak.

Day 9: Acclimatization at Khare.

Our acclimatization routine will take place at Khare. We will prepare ourselves for Mera peak.

Day 10: Trek to Mera La (5415m) and Base Camp (5300m) Duration: 5 hrs.

We proceed all along the snowy glacier to reach the pass.

Day 11: Trek to High Camp (5800m) Duration: 5 hrs.

Our high camp hike begins. Chamlang (7290m), Makalu (8475m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8501m), Cho Oyo (8153m), Baruntse (7220m) to the east,  Nuptse to the north and Ama Dablam, Kantega to the west will surround us during our hike. Our night will be at tented camp.

Day 12: Mera High camp to Mera Peak Summit (6654m), come back and trek to Khare (4900m) length: 10 hrs.

We are required to make ourselves ready for the trek before 2:30 am. We then get on to our journey to the summit for 4-6 hours. Our conquest of the summit has boundless value. From the summit, Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Cho-Oyu (8,210m), Nuptse (7,855m), Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7 ,129m) Ama Dablam (6,812m) Kangtega (6,779m) and many more spectacular and persuasive mountains glimpse will surrounds us. After setting ourselves with full accomplishments we will trace back to high camp and gradually down to Khare.

Day 13: Reserve day for Contingency

This day is reserved if we are disfavored by the climates and weather on our 12th day of journey .i.e to hike towards the summit of the Mera peak. Also if any members of the group encounter problems relating acclimatizing, such in case this day can be utilized.

Day 14: Trek to Khothey (3600m) Duration: Hrs.

We depart from mountain descending to Tangnang and then towards Khothey.

Day 15: Trek to Zatrabok.

We trace back to Zatrabok and through the time there will be a pleasing view of alpine vegetation like rhododendron forest.

Day 16: Trek to Chutenga.

We make our way towards Chutenga, ascending through Zatrawala pass.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla.

We will be through fir, oak, juniper and rhododendron and local vegetation. Also, we shall enjoy views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi RI, Karyolang peak, etc all the way to the Lukla.

Day 18: Take off back to Kathmandu.

We take a flight back to Kathmandu, 30 minutes flight.
